Social Media is coming to the Hawaiian Islands! In conjunction with the wonderful PodCamp Hawaii, Social Media Club is bringing a team of industry leaders to share their experience and insights while we all enjoy the wonderful aloha spirit. It's a unique opportunity to meet and learn from web 2.0 leaders in one of the world's top destinations.

Social Media is changing the way that companies of all sizes engage with the markets they serve - affecting public relations, marketing, customer support, product development, recruiting and almost all other aspects of their organizations.

In this one-day workshop designed specifically for businesses, non-profits and organizations just getting started with Social Media, you will learn:

  • What is Social Media and how it is impacting brands, individual professionals and other organizations
  • How to create your own media, and ultimately reduce your advertising budget
  • What are authentic customer conversations, where can they take place and what is appropriate
  • What social networks are best for different industries
  • How can Social Media help you find new customers

Workshop Leaders:

  • Roxanne Darling, co-owner of Bare Feet Studios, host of award-winning Beach Walks with Rox and Hawaii's new media expert
  • Chris Heuer, the founder of Social Media Club and a digital marketing veteran with 14 years of experience online.
  • Kristie Wells, a community evangelist, customer advocate and President of Social Media Club
  • Beth Kanter, a leading blogger and consultant helping nonprofits learn to use social media for creating social change
  • Other speaker(s) to be announced.
